The 29-year-old Edmundson has played a total of 504 games (26 goals, 98 assists) so far, as a member of the St. Louis Blues, Carolina Hurricanes and Minnesota Wild. He is supposed to strenghten Anaheims struggling defence and be a mentor to young defencemen Jackson Lacombe an Jamie Drysdale.
